Our Shetland Stars
Miniature Shetland ponies Mirrie and Dancer are not just companions—they are the best of friends, and having them here is truly a dream come true. Small in size but bursting with personality, they fill my days with joy as they run and explore their surroundings together. Their names are inspired by the Shetland term Mirrie Dancers, which describes the magical Northern Lights—a perfect tribute to their Shetland heritage. Highly curious and intelligent, they are thriving with clicker training and always eager to learn. Watching them grow and bond is one of the most heartwarming experiences, and I couldn’t be happier to have them in my life.
MIRRIE
Mirrie was born on April 15, 2024, and he’s a stunning chestnut and white pony with a soft, warm coat and a white mane and tail. He’s the shyer of the two, but he’s made great progress since discovering how delightful human scratches can be. Now, Mirrie happily comes over for a good scratch, and although he’s still cautious around new things, his confidence is growing with each day. He’s also learning to touch a target with clicker training, showing just how clever he is. Mirrie shares a special bond with Lola, and it’s heartwarming to see them touch noses—these sweet moments make him all the more endearing.
DANCER
Dancer was born on May 10, 2024, and he’s a striking pony with a mix of dark brown, light brown, reddish-brown, and white markings. Friendly and full of energy, Dancer loves his treats during clicker training and is always eager for lessons—especially when they’re all for him! He enjoys scratches and is learning to touch a target and gently accept a pretend halter around his face. Extremely bright, Dancer quickly figured out that touching three targets earns him a treat. He shares a strong bond with Mirrie, and they can often be seen running and grooming each other, making them the perfect pair.
